Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate LMSW to join our Perinatal Mental Health team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert care to patients and families navigating the complexities of perinatal mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Provide patient education and support to promote healthy coping mechanisms and improve mental health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources to provide patients with access to necessary services.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited university.
  • Current LMSW licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Louisiana.
  • Two years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in perinatal care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in perinatal mental health or a related field.
  • Certification in perinatal mental health or a related specialty.
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
