About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based prevention programs, working with community partners to promote services, and advocating for clients' rights and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement evidence-based prevention groups, such as anger management, social skills, and coping skills.
- Participate in community liaison activities, prevention meetings, and school-based meetings to assist with service placement.
- Establish and maintain inter-agency relationships to promote services in the community.
- Advocate for clients' rights and preferences.
- Instruct, orient, and maintain awareness of proper safety procedures and guidelines.
- Participate in in-service training and stay current on prevention-related topics.
- Complete billed hours reporting in data systems.
- Develop and provide staff-related training on risk factors.
- Adhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules, and regulations.
- Graduation from an accredited school with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other relevant Human Services discipline.
- Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) preferred.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
