Role Overview
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting elderly individuals or those recovering from medical procedures with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Supporting clients in adhering to their medication schedules and aiding with mobility.
  • Facilitating safe movement within the home and during outings, such as medical appointments.
  • Helping with meal preparation and personal care routines, as well as supporting physical therapy exercises.
  • Accompanying clients on shopping trips or managing their shopping needs.
  • Performing light housekeeping duties and reporting any unusual occurrences.
  • Responding promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Engaging clients in essential daily activities, including meal assistance.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A passion for working in a one-on-one care environment and a desire to continuously learn.
  • The physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as required by the role.
  • A valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • A compassionate demeanor and the ability to provide supportive care.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
  • A commitment to upholding health and safety standards.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, along with experience as a caregiver, CNA, or completion of a CNA program.
  • A dedication to delivering high-quality care.
  • Experience with Hoyer lifts, as applicable to client needs.
