Position Overview:

H&H Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-Construction Estimator to join our team in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and pre-construction services, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. This role is critical to the success of our light industrial projects, as it involves preparing comprehensive and competitive estimates to ensure project viability and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.


• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.


• Understand and implement project acquisition process through Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Design-Bid-Build process.


• Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and schedules.


• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid openings as required.


• Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project scope.


• Maintain clear and organized documentation of all estimates, bids, and related correspondence.


• Continuously monitor and update project budgets and costs throughout the pre-construction phase.


• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure smooth transitions from pre-construction to construction phases.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial and industrial projects.


• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar).


• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.


• Experience with project costing and billing process within a competitive and negotiated bid environment.


• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.


• Highly relational and effective communicator.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
