We are seeking a dedicated professional to foster new partnerships and promote lucrative preventive roof maintenance contracts, restoration coating solutions, and corrective roofing services for commercial, industrial, and governmental properties. All inspection and proposal tasks must be documented accurately and promptly within the CRM system.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- To excel in this role, candidates must effectively manage essential responsibilities as outlined. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
- Proven experience in successfully marketing profitable commercial roofing service contracts and/or restoration coating solutions.
- Ability to identify issues, gather data, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions.
- Proficient in crafting impactful reports, proposals, and business communications.
- Skilled in presenting information and addressing inquiries from team members, management, and clients.
- Able to engage with a diverse range of clients and customers.
- Participate in site assessments and prepare take-offs by measuring and noting all relevant factors of the roofing site, which may necessitate multiple visits.
- Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and others.
- Understanding of office administrative processes and familiarity with standard office equipment operation.
- Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- A minimum of 5 years of verifiable estimating experience in commercial roofing, ideally with a focus on service and/or coating restoration.
- All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Candidates will be required to showcase their skills through testing.
- Comprehensive knowledge to evaluate roofs along with blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare material quotes, labor requirements for fabrication and construction, project pricing, and bid summaries.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturer product warranties.
- Maintain positive relationships with property and facilities managers, general contractors, and manufacturer representatives.
- Calculate cost factors and prepare estimates for management purposes, including planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors and/or subcontractors, and assessing cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, or other parties to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Work alongside Project Managers, Purchasing, and Management as necessary in the preparation and final evaluation of bids.
- Organize and manage a centralized cost estimating database and formal processes to support cost estimating, ensuring historical data is utilized effectively.
- Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvements.
- Estimate costs for change orders on existing contracts.
- Attend pre-construction and bid/pre-qualification meetings.
Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive background check, including drug screening, reference verification, public record checks, and motor vehicle record assessments.
