Accounting Clerk II Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk II to join our team at II-VI Aerospace & Defense. As an Accounting Clerk II, you will play a critical role in supporting our accounting department with a variety of tasks, including financial record-keeping, data entry, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform financial record-keeping and data entry tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with financial reporting, including preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
  • Verify and reconcile financial transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and bank statements.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting department with duties encompassing at least one function area, such as accounts receivable or accounts payable.
  • High school or GED, with some post-high school accounting classes (including accounting software) desired.
  • Proficiency with a 10-key and standard office/accounting computer software required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley environment helpful.
Working Conditions:

This is a standard office environment with sedentary work. All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Aerospace & Defense Corporate EHS standards.
