IT Support Technician

The IT Operations Specialist collaborates with local business personnel to assess their technological requirements and obstacles, striving to deliver essential technical assistance that empowers users in their daily operational tasks. This role encompasses the planning, execution, oversight, and maintenance of computing, storage, networking, and telecommunications systems across multiple Aerospace & Defense locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, sustain, monitor, and provide support for all IT infrastructure and equipment, including desktops/laptops, servers, manufacturing systems, networking, telecommunications, and other peripheral devices.
- Deploy new IT resources as necessary to accommodate local operational demands.
- Conduct routine system administration tasks, including user account management, backup procedures, and system monitoring.
- Deliver desktop support services, encompassing PC/laptop setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for both office personnel and manufacturing systems.
- Lead or engage in local and divisional system implementation initiatives and the introduction of innovative technologies.
- Ensure compliance with SOX & DFAR regulations at local sites, adhering to corporate IT policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other division and corporate IT team members on the implementation and support of IT solutions and services.
- Associate's Degree in Computer Technology or a certification from a recognized technical institution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems is preferred.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Information Technology sector.
- Proficient hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a diverse range of software and hardware, including networking, telecommunications, desktops/laptops, manufacturing systems, and peripheral devices.
- Experience in supporting various computer-based systems and equipment utilized in manufacturing settings.
- Management and operation of local network infrastructure and associated servers.
- Extensive familiarity with Microsoft technologies and solutions is preferred.
- Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of IT technologies, including networking, telecommunications, servers, security, and applications.
- Understanding of Windows desktop/workstation environments, Windows Server Operating Systems, Cisco networking, telecommunications tools, and Network Management Systems.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Knowledge of CMMC, SOX & DFAR compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; capable of effectively engaging with end-users and management.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities involving both external and internal demands.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including planning and prioritizing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over short distances with or without assistance.
- Capability to bend, squat, or crawl to access low objects or confined spaces.
- All personnel are required to adhere to site EHS protocols and corporate EHS standards.
This position may involve the execution and maintenance of ISO 9000, 9001, 14001, and/or other relevant standards applicable to the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System, depending on the location.
