Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Austin Retina Associates is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing state-of-the-art diagnostic testing for our physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic testing, including OCTs, fundus photos, fluorescein angiography, and visual fields
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff to reduce physician and patient wait times
  • Record images and notes in our electronic medical record system
  • Perform venipunctures as needed for angiograms and Photodynamic Therapy
  • Respond to physician and peer questions about images, offering technical insight
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated effectiveness showing courtesy, diligence, integrity, and teamwork
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening, clear communication, and customer problem resolution
  • Ability to master multiple computer systems for data entry and data retrieval
  • Ability to travel to locations throughout Central Texas by car
  • Valid Texas driver's license with satisfactory driving record
Preferred Attributes:
  • 4-year college education in a related field, including certification by a nationally recognized professional certifying body
  • Experience in retina or ophthalmology, with a focus on OCTs, fundus photography, and ultrasonography
