Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse is tasked with delivering nursing care in accordance with established standards and professional nursing practices; responsible for the results of the nursing care provided.
Educational Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) is mandatory.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is highly regarded.
Degree must be obtained from an institution accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Professional Experience:
Prior experience in an acute care critical care environment is preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
Must possess a current and valid RN Licensure with the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
Completion of the American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 calendar days of hire (exceptions for obtaining certification from alternative providers may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
BLS recertification is necessary every two (2) years.ACLS certification is preferred.

Physical Demands:
Medium PAT Rating
While performing the responsibilities of this role, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally required to use hands and fingers; and frequently to communicate verbally or audibly.
The employee must be able to exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force consistently to move objects.
