At Ryder System, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced developer with a strong background in software development and a passion for problem-solving. As a Senior Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level integrations that provide additional functionality to our core application.

You will also be responsible for testing the application using various testing strategies, such as Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and Smoke Testing, to ensure everything works before handing off the build to the QA Team. Additionally, you will provide 24x7 on-call support for Severity 1 issues, manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for Severity 2 and 3 support tickets, and collaborate with your team to determine the work that needs to be done, refine it, and prioritize based on the team's and business' needs.

Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. They should have at least three years of experience in Transportation Management and/or Distribution Management Technology, and seven years of experience in Software Development is required. Travel is expected to be minimal, around 1-10%.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level integrations that provide additional functionality to our core app.
  • Test the application using various testing strategies like Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and Smoke Testing to ensure everything works before handing off build to the QA Team.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support for Severity 1 issues, per duty roster with a root-cause/corrective action mindset.
  • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for Severity 2 and 3 support tickets.
  • Collaborate with your team to determine the work that needs to be done, refine that work, and prioritize based on the team's and business' needs.
  • Mentor and guide other developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

This is a salaried position with a minimum salary range of $115,000.00 and a maximum salary range of $125,000.00.
