Position Overview: We seek compassionate caregivers eager to grow both personally and professionally. Each day presents unique opportunities to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. As a RCA/CNA/UMA, your responsibilities will include administering medications (if licensed) and assisting residents with daily living activities such as eating, bathing, and dressing. The ideal candidate recognizes that every resident has a distinct story, requiring patience, kindness, and empathy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each resident through high-quality care.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personal and health information of residents and staff.
  • Assist with medication administration, ensuring compliance with all protocols.
  • Utilize the Medication Administration Record (MAR) for medication reconciliation and coordinate with the pharmacy.
  • Verify medication counts each shift and ensure proper reconciliation.
  • Support residents with feeding and encourage adequate hydration and nutrition.
  • Respond promptly to resident needs through the pendant system/call lights.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Document care outcomes, medication administration, and any changes in resident health.
  • Communicate any changes in health conditions or care-related concerns to the nursing leadership team.
  • Prepare and clean the dining area before and after meals.
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines as per OSHA and CDC standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Med Aide/UMA or CNA in South Dakota.
  • Free on-the-job training available for those seeking licensure.

Compensation and Schedule:

  • Competitive pay starting at $18.00/hour based on experience.
  • Overnight shift differential of $1.00/hour.
  • Flexible 8 or 12-hour shifts available.
  • Part-time opportunities typically include Thursdays and Fridays, with options for additional shifts.
