Job Summary

As a Clinical Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including psychological testing and evaluation, to diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and psychotherapy techniques.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Participate in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
  • May be required to participate in the department on-call, providing crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
Requirements
  • PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions that contribute to mental health.
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
