Position OverviewAs a Healthcare Customer Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in our mission to leverage technology in improving the health and well-being of our community's most vulnerable members. Your passion for helping others will align with our commitment to finding innovative solutions to significant healthcare challenges. Below are the specifics of this role.
Your Responsibilities- Provide assistance to clients by addressing various eligibility and claims inquiries via phone.
- Identify and resolve basic inquiries while detecting demographic and provider issues affecting eligibility and claims.
- Process requests for Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) Vouchers and collaborate with NET coordinators and Medicaid Agency Case Managers.
- Conduct research on client eligibility, benefit limits, and verify coverage.
- Update client demographic information as necessary.
- A minimum of one month of customer service or telephone experience is required; additional experience is preferred.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with callers.
- Proficient in problem identification and resolution, multitasking, and working effectively under pressure.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Assessment Requirement: All candidates must complete the Harver Assessment during the interview process to evaluate key competencies relevant to the role.
- This position requires on-site attendance.
- Video conferencing will be mandatory during interviews and the initial orientation period.
