The Inside Grease Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality of grease traps located within commercial establishments such as restaurants and supermarkets. This position involves identifying, accessing, and maintaining grease traps to prevent operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate clear communication with clients and the Wind River Environmental team.
  • Assess grease trap conditions and identify potential hazards.
  • Prepare service vehicles and tools for efficient job execution.
  • Transport service vehicles to job sites while adhering to traffic regulations.
  • Extract grease accumulation from grease trap systems located both indoors and outdoors.
  • Complete and submit service documentation and quotes to management promptly, as required.
  • Respond to urgent service requests in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all service protocols established by Wind River Environmental.
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends and holidays, is essential.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as necessary.
  • Comply with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
  • Implement safe work practices to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries, recognizing and addressing hazards in both routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the job.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, non-hazardous fumes, and noise.
  • Ability to work independently is essential.
  • Engagement with customers is a key aspect of the role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting various documents, including company policies, safety regulations, and operational instructions.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Capability to work autonomously and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email and internet usage.
  • Ability to perform fundamental mathematical calculations.

Wind River Environmental specializes in the service and maintenance of a wide range of non-hazardous liquid waste systems, including grease traps and septic tanks. The company is committed to providing comprehensive services to business, residential, and municipal clients across the East Coast.

Required Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • A minimum of one year of professional commercial driving experience.
  • Ability to successfully complete DOT drug screening, medical certification, physical examinations, and road tests.
  • Must operate in a drug-free environment.
  • Must meet physical demands evaluation standards.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
