Medical Specialist in Palliative Care

Palliative care specialists play a vital role in improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses. Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our esteemed Palliative Care Team in Texas.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. About the Role
This Physician Assistant position offers a unique chance to work in a fast-paced environment, providing expert care to patients with complex medical needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories
- Order and interpret laboratory tests to inform diagnosis and treatment
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments and evidence-based medicine
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding medical management and health promotion
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
