Job Description

As a Fire Business Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Regional Business Administration Manager in developing, implementing, and executing business operations standardized processes that align with company policies and government compliance.
  • Performing timesheet data entry in the Time Entry system.
  • Submitting manual overrides to Payroll weekly, as needed.
  • Tracking vacation, sick, and floating holiday usage.

You will also be responsible for reviewing Kronos Exception Report weekly and correcting errors prior to feeding into Time Entry. Additionally, you will maintain electronic file storage of timesheets on the Area Shared Drive and setup correct prevailing wage rates for SRs and projects in the PWS system weekly.

Other key responsibilities include communicating any issue related to certified payroll internally with project managers, project coordinators, sales, techs, installers, and management team, and externally with prime contractors and subcontractors in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Experience in labor compliance software such as LCP Tracker, Emars, eBacon, DIR.
  • The ability to navigate DIR, SAM, DOL websites.
  • A basic knowledge of state DIR and Federal DBA requirements.
  • Experience in wage rates, tracking increases, and reporting fringes.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
