Job Overview

Position Summary

The Senior Maintenance Technician will work under direct supervision to execute and assist in the upkeep of manufacturing equipment within the facility. This role involves diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of production machinery and equipment, while also supporting the maintenance team with various tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage building maintenance and repairs
  • Procure parts and maintain necessary documentation
  • Conduct general maintenance and upkeep of shop equipment such as bridge ports, drill presses, and forklifts
  • Inspect buildings and structures to assess functional systems, identify malfunctions, and recommend repairs using a standardized checklist
  • Maintain cleanliness in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance, including the replacement or repair of fixtures such as wall switches, outlets, bulbs, and minor appliances
  • Handle minor plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging drains, and replacing drain hoses
  • Contribute to organizational goals by taking ownership of new and diverse requests, and seeking opportunities to enhance job performance
  • Execute any additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Required Skills, Education & Experience

Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge for effective job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of experience in facility maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed
  • Confidence in leading processes and projects while seeking improvement opportunities
