Job Description

The Medical Intensive Care Unit Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs. You will work closely with physicians and other departments to coordinate care and facilitate interventions to meet patients' needs.

  • Assist the Nursing Unit Director in planning, implementing, and assessing daily nursing functions and services
  • Provide supervisory and management oversight for staff members and departmental resources and processes
  • Facilitate ongoing performance improvement activities, including involvement of all levels of staff on designated shifts as appropriate
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current Alaska nursing license in good standing
  • An Associate's Degree in nursing, Bachelor's preferred
  • A minimum of two years of Medical Step Down or ICU experience

Estimated Salary: $93,500 - $118,000 per year, depending on experience.
