Athena Health Care Systems is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Guard to join our team at The Oxford in Haverhill. As a Security Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our residents, employees, facility, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and security of residents, employees, facility, and equipment
  • Assist in minor maintenance functions in the absence of the Maintenance Assistant and the Director of Environmental Services
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and emergencies
  • Conduct regular security checks and patrols
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, employees, and visitors
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Security experience and/or a general background in repair and maintenance
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
  • General knowledge of repair and maintenance practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines as they pertain to long-term care
  • Ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations using effective problem-solving techniques
