Job Title: Therapist, FFT

Family and Children's Agency Inc is seeking a skilled Therapist, FFT to join our team. As a Therapist, FFT, you will provide clinical family therapy interventions to children and families in foster care, working collaboratively with the Family Specialist and DCF to achieve permanency and stability in the foster home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to the needs of each family.
  • Provide regular family therapy sessions, adjusting dosage based on clinical needs.
  • Address clinical needs through model-adherent FFT FC interventions.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of sessions and collateral contacts.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments and interventions, including tailored safety planning and crisis management.
  • Network with DCF and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field.
  • License in field of study (LMFT, LPCA, LCSW, LMSW).
  • At least 1 year of experience providing clinical services to children and families.
  • Knowledge of home-based therapy, family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapies, and trauma reactions.
  • Awareness of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients served.
  • Knowledge of electronic health record systems and child welfare systems.
