Key Responsibilities- Supervise Laboratory Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all production processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Lead Production Employees: Motivate and lead production employees to perform in a proficient manner, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality, adhering to Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all State laws and regulations that affect GTI operations and safety, promoting safety policies and awareness among employees.
- Documentation: Complete necessary documentation, including scheduling, training, onboarding, performance reviews, and other administrative tasks.
- Instrument Maintenance: Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments, monitor experiments, make observations, calculate and record results, and notify the Operations Manager of any deviations.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Follow SOP and standard analytical procedures to meet Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices compliance.
- Inventory Management: Support the documentation of lab standards, inventory management, Chemical Hygiene Policy, and related labeling.
- Employee Safety: Identify and report unsafe equipment, conditions, and practices to prevent incidents.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain the hygiene, organization, and overall appearance of the facility.
- Laboratory Experience: Laboratory experience or degree in Life Sciences preferred.
- Production Environment: 2+ years of working in an analytical, food manufacturing, or production environment.
- OSHA Guidelines: Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals.
- Cannabis Industry Knowledge: Background in cannabis extraction or distillation highly desirable, not required.
- Continuous Improvement: Knowledge in Continuous improvement, ex. Kaizen, Gemba Walks.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment, and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and email.
- Laboratory Best Practices: Knowledge of laboratory best practices including data entry, cleanliness, and systems.
- Leadership Skills: Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness.
- Adaptability: Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Critical Thinking: Possesses a high level of critical thinking.
- Compliance: Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTI.
- Cannabis Laws and Regulations: Must have a solid understanding of the cannabis laws, rules, and regulations set forth by the state and the Cannabis Compliance Board.
- Background Checks: Must pass any and all required background checks.
- Compliance: Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Age Requirement: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Agent Badge: Must be approved by the state badging agency to receive an Agent badge.
