Job Title: Resident Care Manager

Quail Park of Lynnwood is seeking a compassionate and skilled Resident Care Manager to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and support for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage care giving staff, including hiring, training, evaluations, and performance management
  • Develop and post schedules to ensure adequate daily staffing
  • Communicate with staff regarding meetings, trainings, and after-hours staffing concerns
  • Coordinate care team orientation and trainings with HR Manager
  • Assist in coordinating daily administrative and care giving functions of the Community under the direction of the Executive Director
  • Organize supplies and materials, prepare work orders for maintenance department as required
  • Manage care team for completion of housekeeping duties
  • Assist nursing staff in communication with residents, families, physicians, and other outside healthcare providers
  • Assist with the maintenance of resident records
  • Supervise the personal care of residents and assist in monitoring the wellbeing and environment of the residents
  • Review and understand all resident individual service plans and ensure they accurately reflect resident care needs
  • Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with residents and team members
  • Maintain knowledge of current OSHA and state regulations and monitor Community compliance with regulations related to resident care and nursing functions
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, and social condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse or Resident Coordinator
  • Complete all forms, such as incident reports, and written and computerized documentation, as necessary for communication of resident information with other shifts, Resident Coordinators, and with the licensed nurses
Requirements:
  • CNA or previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting preferred
  • Current CNA license or ability to obtain as required by State regulatory agencies
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, other team members, and physicians
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks to accommodate fluctuating needs of the residents and the community
  • Ability to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
  • Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
  • Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers credentials
  • Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits
