Johnson Controls International is seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our team of engineering and design professionals. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our industry-leading Variable Speed Drive technology.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Create 3D CAD models and design documentation for piece parts and complex assemblies of electrical components and enclosures.
- Component Layout Analysis: Perform complex component layout analysis to identify failure points and features for optimization.
- Documentation and Collaboration: Document the design process and assist other engineers and designers in the business unit locally and globally.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a solid understanding of standard mechanical technical design and drafting principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and processes.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate and collaborate with other engineers, designers, and manufacturing personnel to complete assignments.
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent and 7 years minimum experience, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Level experience in Creo 6.0 or higher, working knowledge of MSOffice Suite, and knowledge of material properties and machining processes.
- Travel: Must be able to travel globally up to 10% per year.
