Job Title: Print Production Specialist

Description:

The Print Production Specialist plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and solutions for clients' print needs. This position involves following production processes to produce high-quality, professionally finished products using print and production equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and prioritize print requests according to complexity and urgency, ensuring that the output meets quality standards and accurately reflects client instructions.
  • Deliver print jobs within established timeframes and maintain logs of all work submitted and completed, including service logs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on reproduction equipment, troubleshoot paper jams, and place service calls as needed.
  • Take meter readings of each duplicating machine daily and monitor inventory of print supplies, stock paper, and toners.
  • Communicate with clients regarding estimated completion times, unclear instructions, delays in service, or when a specific service cannot be provided, working to resolve complaints to their satisfaction.
  • Assist in opening and closing the print center, maintaining a neat and professional-looking environment.
  • Operate high-speed digital publishing printers, making adjustments to image quality, creating folders, and directories for print-on-demand orders, and perform specialized printing tasks as requested by clients.
  • Prepare monthly production reports to measure productivity and prepare billing charges.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Sending, receiving, and delivering faxes.
  • Performing document scanning.
  • Preparing mail/packages for shipping orders.
  • Providing light housekeeping services, such as making coffee and maintaining conference rooms.
  • Learning new features and functionalities of duplicating machines, faxes, and scanners introduced at the site.
  • Performing mailroom responsibilities and other duties as directed by the Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-5 years of experience working directly in a print center.
  • Familiarity with general job functions and minimal understanding of detailed aspects of the job.
  • Knowledge of machine operations from low to high volume, high-speed duplicating equipment.
  • Proficiency in operating various reproduction-related equipment and systems.
  • Ability to follow directives and handle physical demands.
  • Excellent customer service, professional attitude, and appearance are required.
  • Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.

Estimated Salary:$40,000 - $60,000 per year.
