Job Summary

The Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a dynamic and experienced nursing professional to join our team as an Adjunct Nursing Instructor - Medical Surgical. This part-time faculty position will involve teaching nursing theory and clinical courses to students at one of our colleges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality nursing education to students, including lectures, discussions, and clinical experiences.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the college's nursing program and industry standards.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students, as well as participate in program evaluation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in nursing education.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years.
  • A current California RN License.
  • Strong background in medical-surgical nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Experience teaching nursing courses or developing curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
