The Personal Care Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate support to our participants, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement. This rewarding opportunity allows you to apply your caregiving expertise in new ways as we continue to expand our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to our participants, including escorting, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal support.
  • Monitor and document participants' vital signs as instructed.
  • Assist participants with boarding and exiting transportation vehicles and act as medical escort when required.
  • Maintain a safe environment by observing activity on the day center floor.
  • Support meal service, ensuring participants receive accurate meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Assist participants with safe transfers in and out of their homes and serve as a medical escort to medical appointments as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant in California (CNA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience providing personal care to seniors.
