Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Yoga Instructor to join our afterschool initiative. This role provides an excellent opportunity to blend your enthusiasm for teaching with the chance to engage with students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. We seek individuals who can inspire a love for learning while promoting physical wellness and mindfulness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and motivate students during Yoga sessions and transitions.
  • Collaborate with staff to monitor student development and behavioral standards.
  • Effectively communicate with management regarding student progress and program-related issues.
  • Utilize digital platforms for administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and incident reporting.
  • Organize and maintain Yoga learning materials and supplies.
  • Create a vibrant, inclusive, and enjoyable learning atmosphere by consistently demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic teaching approach.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to clearly articulate rules and expectations to children is crucial.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are highly valued.
  • Professionalism and motivation are expected.
  • A neat and professional appearance is appreciated.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team in an educational setting is important.

Schedule:

  • Part-time availability on Thursdays.
  • Afternoon hours with sessions divided into two parts.
  • Commitment for the full school year is desired.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of teaching experience with elementary-level students is preferred.
  • Strong foundation in Yoga and familiarity with teaching children is preferred.
