Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to perform blood draws and collect other biological samples from patients for diagnostic testing and research purposes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Organize daily tasks based on the urgency of sample collection requests.
  • Verify patient identity and personal details through identification documents.
  • Select appropriate venipuncture techniques based on the patient's age and health status.
  • Provide reassurance to patients to alleviate anxiety during the procedure.
  • Identify suitable veins for blood collection.
  • Collect blood using sterile needles and equipment, ensuring optimal sample quality.
  • Accurately label samples and ensure their timely delivery for analysis.
  • Address patient inquiries and provide relevant information.
  • Maintain precise records of collected specimens and associated tests.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations during procedures.
  • Assist with blood transfusions as required.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated experience as a Phlebotomist or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in effective blood collection techniques.
  • Knowledge of proper patient identification protocols.
  • Familiarity with legal guidelines regarding blood collection and sample handling.
  • Competence in using computer systems for data entry.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to connect with diverse patient populations, including children and the elderly.
  • Patience and a calm demeanor.
  • Possession of a diploma in Phlebotomy.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy is advantageous.
