Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to support our PM-ADM team at NATO ACT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and AI, with experience in working with large datasets and developing data-driven solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying knowledge of data models to evaluate outcomes, veracity, and performance, as well as engaging with stakeholders to prototype and refine human-computer interfaces. They will also specify and apply appropriate techniques to clean and properly format data for use, and review the benefits and value of techniques and tools to recommend improvements.

The Data Scientist will work closely with SMEs to construct data strategies in line with the owning organization's approach to collecting, storing, and analyzing data, and will remain up-to-date with new developments in data science and AI to bring innovative ideas into implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data science tools and techniques, as well as experience in project management and agile methodologies. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of data models to evaluate outcomes, veracity, and performance
  • Engage with stakeholders to prototype and refine human-computer interfaces
  • Specify and apply appropriate techniques to clean and properly format data for use
  • Review the benefits and value of techniques and tools to recommend improvements
  • Work closely with SMEs to construct data strategies in line with the owning organization's approach
  • Remain up-to-date with new developments in data science and AI to bring innovative ideas into implementation

Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Data/Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in data science or related field
  • Working knowledge of at least 2 years in Requirements Management tools
  • Knowledge of Capability Development and Management processes
  • Experience involving the support to data-focused operations encompassing at least 1 skill(s) listed: Machine Learning (ML), AI knowledge, or Large Language Models
  • Working knowledge of Computer System of Systems Architectures
  • Experience with data science tools to support data analytics and data visualization
  • Experience in Project Management and Agile methodologies
  • Program Management experience within a complex and dynamic program environment
  • Successful engagement with project users and stakeholders at NCIA
  • Ability to travel for up to 30 days per year
