Diesel Mechanic Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Quantix Supply Chain Solutions. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day equipment maintenance on company equipment, including preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs to tractors and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.
  • Perform P.M. inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met.
  • Assist with road service calls during emergency breakdowns.
  • Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage.
  • Assure compliance with all appropriate safety rules and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Valid and unrestricted Driver's license.
  • Must have a Toolbox.
  • Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred. ASE certification preferred Diesel.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Technician experience preferred with Class 8 Tractor & Trailer.
  • New and Recent Diesel Mechanics are welcome. Must have graduated from an Accredited Diesel Mechanic program.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.
  • Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to inspect and/or wash vehicles.
