Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Quantix Supply Chain Solutions. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day equipment maintenance on our company equipment, including preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs on tractors and trailers.

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.
• Perform P.M. inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met.
• Assist with road service calls during emergency breakdowns.
• Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage.
• Assure compliance with all appropriate safety rules and regulations.

• Valid and unrestricted Driver's license.
• Toolbox Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred.
• ASE certification preferred Diesel.
• Minimum of 1 year of Technician experience preferred with Class 8 Tractor & Trailer.
• New and Recent Diesel Mechanics are welcome.
• Must have graduated from an Accredited Diesel Mechanic program.

• $3000 Sign on Bonus.

The ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds. The ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to inspect and/or wash vehicles.

While performing the responsibilities, the employee is required to talk and listen. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
