Job Summary

As a key member of our retail team, the Merchandise Coordinator will be responsible for receiving and processing merchandise from our processing center, as well as accepting donations and preparing receipts for donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with purchasing needs and answer phone inquiries
  • Receive donations from donors and operate the cash register
  • Assist in conference order process and accept donations
  • Process merchandise and stock it on the retail floor
  • Arrange clothing by department, color, and/or size, and rotate merchandise
  • Create merchandise displays for customer appeal
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, windows, restrooms, and parking lots
  • Participate in and serve as a model for SVdP's Culture of Philanthropy, and ensure SVdP volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of retail sales or customer service experience is helpful
  • Able to work with volunteers and support the mission of St. Vincent de Paul
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
