Contract Specialist Job Description

Primeritus Financial Services, Inc. is a leading provider of repossession management, remarketing, titled, and skip tracing services to the automotive finance industry in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Job Summary:

The Contract Specialist will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, negotiating contract terms, drafting agreements, and monitoring the execution of contracts in partnership with sales and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, revise, edit, and negotiate contracts that provide value to Primeritus and our clients.
  • Understand all legal and business terminology within company contracts and translate business needs and priorities into written contract language.
  • Work closely with finance, legal, sales, and operations teams to support contract management needs.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to contract management and propose solutions.
  • Manage the execution process of contracts, including obtaining necessary signatures, organizing, and saving completed documents in the company's data storage system.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes and implement enhancements.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and legal requirements related to contract management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Associate's degree, or Paralegal Certificate with relevant experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience in contract management, legal operations, or a related role required.
  • Solid understanding of legal terminology and key contract terms.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Word, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Capable of professionally managing confidential information.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • This is a hybrid position.
  • Must have predictable attendance.
  • The ability to remain alert and engaged.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift.
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol and apply established protocols in a timely manner.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
  • Move equipment and objects up to 30 pounds.
