Job Title: Travel Coordinator

The Travel Coordinator is a key member of our team at Faith Comes By Hearing, responsible for planning and coordinating domestic and international travel for our clients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Obtain and verify traveler information to create accurate itineraries.
  2. Research, book, and arrange travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
  3. Ensure compliance with travel policies and procedures, and obtain approval for any exceptions.
  4. Monitor and adjust itineraries as needed to minimize disruptions and ensure traveler safety.
  5. Prepare and distribute travel packets to travelers, including all necessary documentation and contact information.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, including check-in and boarding pass assistance.
  7. Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and filing.
  8. Cross-train in data entry and donation processing to support the team during high-volume periods.
  9. Perform general hospitality tasks for ministry guests, as outlined in the Faith Comes By Hearing Hospitality Handbook.
  10. Monitor policies and global events that may impact travel or preparations for travel.
Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated excellence in domestic travel planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  2. Ability to evaluate information to determine compliance within standards.
  3. Ability to focus in an open office setting with a high attention to detail.
  4. Problem-solving ability in pressured situations.
  5. Excellent collaboration skills.
  6. Proven ability in communication, both orally and in writing.
  7. Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.
  8. Demonstrated service orientation by actively looking for ways to help people within guidelines.
  9. Ability to maintain composure, even in very difficult situations.
  10. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate with senior leaders.
  11. Demonstrated dependability shown by being reliable, responsible, and fulfilling obligations.
  12. Able to meet strict deadlines by using organizational skills and multitasking in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  13. Above reproach in ethical conduct.
  14. Able to maintain high-level confidentiality with discernment.
  15. Trustworthy with large purchases and personal/financial information.
  16. Skilled in Excel and Internet Search Programs, along with exceptional computer skills and understanding and working knowledge of various travel booking and travel vendor websites.
  17. High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  18. One + years' experience in travel coordination.
Preferred:
  1. Associates degree.
  2. Experience with a non-profit ministry, a plus.
