Job Summary:

The National Fleet Manager will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive material handling equipment program for Penske Logistics. This role will be responsible for standardizing vehicle specifications, managing equipment life cycles, and implementing maintenance programs to ensure safety, efficiency, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement standard vehicle specifications for all classes of material handling equipment.
Manage equipment life cycles, from procurement to disposal, through the PL Equipment Database.
Implement and manage maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
Liaise with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance on asset strategy and equipment life-cycle management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Management required.
3 years of fleet maintenance experience, with experience leading teams and managing processes.
Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, supply chain principles, and sourcing.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
