Retail Sales Consultant

The Retail Sales Consultant plays a vital role in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, ensuring that our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store activities. This position is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience while maximizing profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Performance:
- Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales strategies and sharing product insights with customers; assists in selecting merchandise that aligns with customer preferences.
- Stays informed about ongoing promotions and maintains visual and pricing standards.
- Upholds merchandise handling and presentation standards, as well as loss prevention protocols, while executing all tasks as directed by management.
- Contributes to visual merchandising efforts, including monthly store layouts and maintenance of designated areas.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Embodies and promotes the principles of Outstanding Personal Service (OPS), ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
- Addresses customer inquiries and resolves issues promptly.
- Facilitates a swift and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about payment policies, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, and security measures.
- Encourages additional purchases at checkout, including gift card sales.
- Enrolls clients in loyalty programs.
- Builds and nurtures a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
- Maintains awareness of current product offerings and fit options available both in-store and online.
- Ensures consistent communication with clients through the use of a customer relationship management system.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Assists in replenishment efforts to keep the store well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Supports fulfillment activities as needed.
- Participates in visual merchandising tasks, including floor displays, window presentations, and signage placement as directed.
- Contributes to maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
Team Collaboration and Development:
- Encourages a collaborative and inclusive approach to problem-solving.
- Actively seeks opportunities for personal growth and welcomes constructive feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or sales experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to adapt to technology utilized by the company.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication with customers, team members, and management.
- Regular attendance is essential to meet company objectives; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regular walking and standing throughout the shift.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift).
- Frequent climbing (34%-66% of the shift).
This position may be available across various brands, and specific duties may differ accordingly.
