Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Facilities & Grounds Supervisor. This pivotal role entails overseeing the maintenance, care, and efficient functioning of all facilities, grounds, equipment, landscaping, and interior aesthetics. The supervisor will ensure that all maintenance and grounds are maintained to meet the high standards expected by the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with management to design, implement, and manage programs aimed at maintaining the facilities and grounds, including snow removal operations.
  • Assist in overseeing significant repairs, renovations, and new construction projects.
  • Ensure availability to address facility-related issues promptly.
  • Engage with relevant managers to plan, design, and establish workstations.
  • Manage the building security system, fire alarm system, emergency response procedures, and surveillance systems.
  • Maintain a computerized work order system, including a preventative maintenance program, and make modifications as necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of construction repairs, blueprints, and other pertinent documents.
  • Contribute to the preparation and planning for both short- and long-term facility needs.
  • Oversee the hiring, direction, assignment, training, development, performance, and evaluation of direct reports.

Qualifications

  • A college degree or specialized training in facilities management, with substantial knowledge in an engineering-related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience supervising facilities operations staff.
  • Operational and functional expertise in large-scale electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire alarm, and security systems.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
