Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Williamson Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for performing cardiopulmonary and neurological diagnostic studies, as well as providing pulmonary therapeutic modalities for assigned inpatients and outpatients. This role requires a strong foundation in respiratory care, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform comprehensive assessments on patients, utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination.
  2. Plan and implement individualized care plans, identifying problems/needs, standards of care/practice, and interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes.
  3. Administer and document medications and patient responses, according to established procedures.
  4. Reassess patient conditions, evaluate responses, and communicate as necessary to the care team.
  5. Plan for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs, and deliver education to patients and families as appropriate.
  6. Maintain a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
  7. Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies, verifying proper function and adequate stock.
  8. Initiate and maintain adjunct airways, and document changes.
  9. Facilitate staff development, including orientation and training of respiratory personnel, and accept charge responsibilities.
  10. Demonstrate responsibility for assigned communications and departmental educational programs.
Requirements
  1. Earned a Cardio Respiratory Care diploma or degree from a college or university; RRT only.
  2. Registered/Certified by the NBRC or 1 year of Respiratory Care experience.
  3. Tennessee State license with ABG endorsed.
  4. NRP, PALS, ACLS certified within 6 months of hire.
  5. BLS within 90 days of hire.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with frequent exposure to patients and medical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
