Key Responsibilities

Program Insights

Our Specialized Crisis Services program caters to children and adolescents under 18 facing crises such as suicidal ideation, aggression, or psychotic episodes. The program emphasizes collaboration with clients, families, and essential community members to evaluate risks and protective factors, ensuring safety for all involved. We prioritize the least restrictive environments, employing a systematic treatment model that engages parents and fosters change through family, school, community, and peer interactions. Our staff undergoes intensive training in assessment, crisis management, in-home treatment, and respite care.

Role Expectations

  • Deliver mobile crisis intervention and comprehensive, strength-based evaluations of children and families in their natural settings.
  • Utilize crisis respite facilities when necessary.
  • Provide ongoing support and interventions to stabilize families until suitable services are arranged.
  • Work during non-traditional hours.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Collaborate effectively in a highly supervised environment.
  • Utilize online documentation accessible from home.
  • Engage with adult crisis teams and community stakeholders.
  • Travel may extend over a 60+ mile radius from the office.
  • Attendance at meetings may be required on days off.

Additional Details

Work schedules are variable and will be elaborated upon during the interview. This role encompasses both telehealth and in-person evaluations.

Our Specialized Crisis Services teams operate from various locations, offering flexible and non-traditional schedules tailored to the availability of youth and families served. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle for work-related tasks, and auto insurance. Community-based staff will receive mileage reimbursement for applicable travel.

Compensation

Annual salary of $58,000, contingent upon educational background and clinical licensure.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

A Master's degree in a clinical or mental health discipline is mandatory. Candidates nearing graduation with a relevant Master's degree may also be considered. Acceptable degrees include Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy; other degrees will require further evaluation to confirm qualifications.

One year of clinical experience with youth is preferred. Applicants who are provisionally licensed or pursuing licensure are strongly encouraged to apply (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT).

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Candidates should be adept at managing multiple priorities, possess basic computer skills, and maintain a flexible schedule. Counselors must have their own vehicle for work-related purposes and carry liability insurance.

Acceptable driving record: three or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months.
