MRI Technologist

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts diagnostic imaging procedures using MRI equipment to acquire and analyze patient data.
- Verifies patient identification, obtains patient history, and ensures patient safety.
- Operates MRI scanners, administers contrast agents, and maintains equipment.
- Transfers images to PACS, verifies patient information, and ensures accurate billing.
- Performs other duties as required, including precepting new employees and students.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or equivalent.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or equivalent.
- Advanced certification in MR within one year of employment.
Job Details:
- Full-time position with 36 hours per week.
- Salary range: $40.09 per hour.
- On-site work assignment with flexibility in work hours.
This position is employed by UNC Health, a private subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
