Position: Valve Assembly Specialist

Purpose: Fulfill customer requirements through the safe and effective assembly of electrical control panels, valve automation components, and related hardware.

  3. Perform assigned tasks effectively in various roles, including electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, and warehouse duties.
  4. Support facilities-related tasks to ensure proper system operation and maintain facility integrity.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute complex mechanical assembly tasks from engineering drawings.
  • Utilize shop tools safely and effectively, including hand tools, forklifts, hoists, and pneumatic tools.
  • Conduct electrical assembly following schematics, wiring diagrams, and verbal instructions.
  • Apply dimensional measurement and layout techniques for electrical panel configurations.
  • Engage professionally with all organizational levels.
  • Keep the shop area safe, clean, organized, and efficient.
  • Assist with facility, warehouse, and maintenance projects as needed.
  • Support the training of other employees as required.
  • May participate in field service tasks at external locations.
  • Contribute to facility, warehouse, and maintenance projects as requested.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in an electrical and/or mechanical assembly role.
  • Prioritize safety consistently in the shop environment.
  • Ability to operate standard shop equipment, including forklifts, hoists, and pneumatic tools.
  • Proficient in using personal computers, email, and navigating various software applications.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Capable of standing, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
  • Able to lift and manipulate products weighing up to 75 pounds.
Working Conditions:

This role is primarily conducted in a shop environment with minimal exposure to adverse weather. Occasionally, Assembly Specialists may be required to perform duties at customer sites, where outdoor exposure may occur. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary in both shop and field settings to ensure personal safety. Applied Control promotes a smoke-free workplace.

Compensation:

Hourly Wage: $35.00 per hour. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience will typically start at a rate based on prior work experience, job-related education, and unique skills.

Other: Eligible for additional compensation, including an annual profit-sharing award.
