Job Title: Structural Technician III - Assembly

Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Structural Technician III - Assembly to join our team in Englewood, CO. As a Structural Technician III - Assembly, you will be responsible for assembling and/or creating major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and/or create major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations
  • Responsible for aligning parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures, and measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
  • Responsible for modifying incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporating the changes into the structure, and monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
  • Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors
  • Frequently requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes
  • Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Frequently exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
  • Frequently exposed to loud noises
  • Responsible for the safety or security of people or property
  • Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles
  • Performs aviation related duties
  • Operate or supervise vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery
Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience OR
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Airframe and Powerplant certificate equivalent
  • Must have/own tools in good working order
  • Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
  • Ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch
  • Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable
  • Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks
  • Ability to travel
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, NASA or US Military
