Academic Advisor

Tiffin University seeks a dedicated and compassionate Academic Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our academic support services, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals and succeed in their academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic advising and guidance to students, helping them navigate their academic journey and develop a clear understanding of their academic and career goals.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure seamless communication and support for students, particularly those who are at-risk or struggling academically.
- Develop and implement effective academic support strategies, including curriculum planning, course selection, and registration processes.
- Work closely with students to identify and address any barriers to their academic success, providing personalized support and resources to help them overcome challenges.
- Stay up-to-date with university policies, procedures, and initiatives, ensuring that students receive accurate and timely information about academic programs, services, and opportunities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying current with best practices in academic advising and student support services.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in higher education, academic advising, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
