Key Responsibilities
* Screen potential deals and conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth
* Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential opportunities
* Prepare investment memos and presentations for senior management and investors
* Contribute to the negotiation of deal terms and the preparation of legal documentation
* Support investor management and investor communication efforts
* Monitor and report on the progress of portfolio companies
* Develop an understanding of emerging trends and industry dynamics
* Enhance current corporate development processes
Requirements
* 3-5 years of financial experience, ideally in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or management consulting
* A strategic mindset with sound business judgment
* Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with experience maintaining and building detailed financial models
* Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
* Persuasive communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
* Ability to assess workload and plan accordingly to meet competing deadlines
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and own challenging tasks while maintaining a collaborative and positive attitude
* Comfort building and leveraging internal and external relationships to achieve objectives
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, business, accounting or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
* Transaction experience
* Prior property and casualty insurance experience
* Proficiency with S&P Capital IQ
