Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Nurse Resident I to join our Emergency Department team. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a comprehensive residency program that includes a core curriculum and individualized learning plans.
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and success coach.
- Establish and prioritize patient care plans based on individual needs and resource availability.
- Respond to patient safety risks and take corrective action to prevent harm.
- Document patient care and progress in electronic medical records.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Requires full range of body motion, including lifting and handling patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
