Wound Care Specialist

VNS Health is seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team. As a Registered Nurse with a passion for wound care, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and education.
Job Summary:The Wound Care Specialist will be responsible for managing the wound management program, including monitoring systems, clinical orientation, and ongoing education and training programs for staff. You will also facilitate consistency in the dissemination of standardized clinical education policies, procedures, and programs.
Responsibilities:- Manage the wound management software application and identify and communicate protocols and standards of care for a culturally and demographically diverse patient population.
- Develop and deliver wound care specific clinical education programs to foster high-quality care by implementing evidence-based practice, performance improvement activities, and professional staff development.
- Evaluate clinical outcomes data and analyze practice patterns to promote organizational responses that meet the needs of patients with specific complex and chronic illnesses.
- Develop policies, standards, and protocols for applying evidence-based practice and evaluate their impact on care management outcomes.
- Participate in creating and delivering presentations on project status and outcomes to management.
- Current License and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS required.
- Bachelor's Degree of Science, Science in Nursing, Science in Education, or Science in Business Administration required.
- Minimum of five years progressive experience in health care required.
- Conversant in data interpretation and presentation required.
- Proficient with personal computers, including Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
