Job Summary

The University of North Texas System is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to join its Design Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching various design courses, including Communication Design, Fashion Design, Human-Centered Interaction Design, Interior Design, and User Experience Design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach design courses to undergraduate students
  • Develop and implement course curriculum
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 18 hours of graduate study in a related field, or professional work experience in a related field
  • Terminal master's degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Communication Design, or Management Information Systems, or Human-Centered Design, or Human Computer Interaction Design for Interaction Design position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal master's degree in a related field, or closely related field with professional and/or at least 2 years of teaching experience
  • At least six years of interaction design product, service or systems design management or project leadership experience in a professional interaction design or user experience design setting, or both
