Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures, operating and maintaining radiological equipment, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing interventional radiology procedures, including preparing patients, setting up equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Operate and maintain radiological equipment, including C-Arms and ultrasound machines, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct quality control checks on equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and restocking equipment to maintain a well-stocked and organized department.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication, including explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; and Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure (as per state regulations)
  • Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.
  • 1 year experience preferred for Candidates with ARRT.
  • Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment).
  • Experience with interventional procedures, using/ordering/maintaining required materials/supplies for each procedure.
  • Knowledge and experience of sterile techniques.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and personal protective devices to be utilized when operating radiology systems.
  • Successfully complete BLS certification.
Work Environment

The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and to perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 400 pounds. Must be able to stand in a protective apron for up to 45-60 minutes. 10% Travel.
