Position Overview: The Safety Supervisor will identify, investigate, audit, and assess all corporate, operational, and human processes through Safety Management System (SMS) policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's safety policy and mission. This role will also assist in managing the organization's data collection profile and ensure timely completion of all technical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of the Safety Management System (SMS) across the organization.
  • Monitor the safety email account and respond to inquiries.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety audits and follow-up assessments.
  • Manage company audits in accordance with the SMS Database processes.
  • Ensure corrective actions and follow-ups from audits are completed within specified timelines.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, events, and safety concerns as assigned.
  • Assist in managing the Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA) programs, including data tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Oversee safety promotion and the publication of the FOQA Alert safety newsletter.
  • Track and manage relevant safety data and documentation, monitoring safety objectives and data analysis.
  • Maintain the Safety page on the Company SharePoint site, including safety documents and industry safety links.
  • Coordinate Corporate Safety Review Board meetings and prepare presentations.
  • Update safety components and documents based on meeting outcomes.
  • Conduct annual Safety Culture Surveys and analyze data for the Corporate Safety Review Board.
  • Participate in Reliability Group and CASS meetings.
  • Attend safety programs, conferences, and training as necessary.
  • Document minutes for Organizational Safety Committee meetings.
  • Manage safety data and documentation in the SMS Database.
  • Assist in planning and conducting corporate emergency drills and coordinating emergency preparedness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the Aviation Industry is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Title 14 CFR Part 135.
  • Thorough understanding of Title 14 CFR Part 5 and SMS.
  • Proven ability to assess risk and identify root causes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Possession of Airman Certification is a plus (e.g., A&P Certificate, Pilot Certificate).

Special Position Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to offsite locations (up to 50%).
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately.

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Training Requirements: As required to maintain compliance with Federal Regulations and company policies.

Working Conditions: Primarily office-based work with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
