Job Summary:

As the Director of Bilingual Education and Program Implementation, you will provide leadership and support to teachers and administrators in the implementation of district bilingual/ESL program models. This role requires expertise in data analysis, curriculum development, and instructional technology. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure the successful implementation of district program models.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and support to teachers and administrators in the implementation of district bilingual/ESL program models.
Analyze assessment data for campus planning and improved instructional delivery.
Provide training for campus staff in the use of student data, including benchmarks, common assessments, STAAR, and college-readiness assessments.
Work closely with grade level department teacher leaders, Content Specialists, and Academic Coordinators.
Incorporate technology in planning and delivering support to campus/district staff.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff in the selection of appropriate content materials and resources.
Keep current with content research and instructional strategies through professional literature.
Attend conferences and workshops.
Attend Curriculum Department meetings and confer regularly with curriculum development staff.
Promote positive school-community relations by communicating effectively with staff, students, parents, and community.
Compile, maintain, and file appropriate reports, records, and documents related to job activities.
Administer the bilingual budget and ensure that programs are cost effective and that bilingual funds are managed effectively.
Participate in grant-writing activities to obtain program funding.
Assist with the selection and purchase of supplemental equipment and supplies for the program.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Master's Degree in related field.
Bilingual/ESL Texas Teaching Certificate.
Principal Certificate.
Minimum five years teaching experience as a Bilingual or ESL teacher and three years administrative experience.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written form, in English and Spanish.
Effective management and public relation skills.

Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent district-wide travel, occasional statewide travel, and prolonged and irregular hours.
